This is the final itinerary for the Patriot Guard Riders Mission to Honor CURTIS NEAL SANFORD (51) US ARMY (AFGHANISTAN) DECEMBER 2, 2017 SATURDAY Born: JANUARY 17, 1966 Died: NOVEMBER 28, 2017 His family has requested that the PGR be present at his services. The Mission is a 'go' and all contacts have been made. Mr. Sanford served our country proudly on active duty for 15 years 11 months active duty and active reserve for 5 years 5 months. He received the Afghanistan Campaign Medal W / Campaign Star // Nato Afghanistan Service Medal // Bronze Star Medal // Army Commendation Medal (3rd Award) // Army Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award) Combat Action Badge // Air Assault Badge // and many more awards and ribbons. He was truly on the front for us so we could stand for others and now we will proudly stand for this hero!!! Services: 10:00 AM at the Autry Funeral Home Chapel 1025 Southeast Loop 456, Jacksonville, TX 75766 Staging: at the funeral home from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM with a riders meeting at 8:45 AM. This is the final itinerary for the Patriot Guard Riders Mission to Honor NATHAN WAYNE GRIMES US ARMY DECEMBER 2, 2017 SATURDAY Born: September 5, 1944 Died: November 28,2017 His family has requested that the PGR be present at his services. The Mission is a 'go' and all contacts have been made. A funeral service for Nathan Grimes, age 73, of Jacksonville, is scheduled at 2 o’clock in the afternoon Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Pastor Tom Moore and Pastor Reggie Gregory officiating. He will be laid to rest at Grimes Family Cemetery. Mr. Grimes passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 in Jacksonville. Nathan was born September 5, 1944, in Jacksonville. Mr. Grimes was Retired Military, and a systems operator for IBM as a subcontractor for NASA in Houston for many years. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and very active in the music department. He was preceded in death by his parents, Corbie Nathaniel Grimes and Mary Alline (Beal) Grimes; and a brother, Frank Allen Grimes. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Bettye Grimes of Jacksonville; daughter, Poppy Derosia and husband William of Crosby, daughter, Tanya Grimes-Sackett and Shannon Sackett of Thousand Oaks, CA; son, LTC. Corbie Nathaniel Grimes II and wife Jesica of Amarillo; sister, Sherry McNeil and husband Percy of Jacksonville; brother, Corbie D. Grimes of Palestine; six grandchildren, Christine Zerr and husband Zachary, Aaron Derosia, Evan Sackett, Jonathan Grimes, Timothy Grimes, and Bella Bohannon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Roland Wright, Steve Grimes, Clark Allen, Jose Ramos, Aaron Derosia and Zachary Zerr. Honorary pallbearers will be his son-in-law, William Derosia and brothers-in-law, Percy McNeil and Royce Wright. Services: 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel, 1025 Texas 456 Loop, Jacksonville, Texas. Following the service graveside service will be at Grimes Cemetery, 1815 Elberta, Jacksonville, Texas. Military has been contacted. The family has request PGR escort to cemetery. LEO will assist. This is the final itinerary for the Patriot Guard Riders Mission to Honor Robert Vernon Hudgins (89) US Navy December 2, 2017 Saturday Born: December 24, 1927 Died: November 27, 2017 His family has requested that the PGR be present at his services. The Mission is a 'go' and all contacts have been made. Services for Mr. Robert Hudgins, 89, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Lewis and Bro. Randy Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Mr. Hudgins passed away November 27, 2017, in Tyler. He was born December 24, 1927, in Alba to Frank Milton & Fannie Bethena Miller Hudgins. He graduated from Alba High School, Class of 1945. Robert served in the US Navy from November 7, 1947 and was honorably discharged January 8, 1948 after reaching classification of MM3. He also was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and the American Area Medal. He spent most of his life in Grand Saline, worked as a railroad switchman, and was a member of Rejoicers Sunday School Class at Main Street Baptist Church. Mr. Hudgins was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Grady Hudgins; and sister, Dorthy Riggle. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Reva Tipps Hudgins of Grand Saline; three daughters, Sherion Jackson and husband Andy of Longview, Linda Monk and husband Mike of Grand Saline, and Robbie Monk and husband Ronnie of Grand Saline; sister, Nadine Phillips and husband Bobby of Alba; six grandchildren, John Jackson and wife Rachel, Stacey Hastings and husband Tracy, Michelle Lewis and husband Monty, Dean Monk and wife Beri, Heather Grace and husband Jeremy, and Lindsey Phillips and husband Andrew; great-grandchildren, Jake, Alexia, Marti, Macoy, Mazie, Macray, Maylee, Levi, Jessi, Bo, Dylan, Kolbi and Jaleigh; and numerous other relatives and friends. This is the final itinerary for the Patriot Guard Riders Mission to Honor HUBERT CHARLES REAVES,JR (91) UNITED STATES ARMY WW II DECEMBER 02, 2017 SATURDAY Born: June 21, 1926 Died: November 10, 2017 His family has requested that the PGR be present at his services. The Mission is a 'go' and all contacts have been made. Hubert Charles Reaves, Jr., known as Junior, age 91, of Paris, Texas passed away quietly on the evening of November 10, 2017 in Paris. He was born June 21, 1926 in Lamar County, Texas to Hubert Charles Reaves, Sr. and Pearlie Evergreen Fisher Reaves. Junior was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War 2. He operated Reaves Cafe for many years, following in the footsteps of his father and mother. Later in life, he became a plumber, a career he enjoyed well into his 70's. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Helen, and a step-child. Survivors include his son, Gerry Reaves and wife, Jeanette; 3 step-children; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Services: 2:00 P.M., December 2, 2017, at Meadowbrook Gardens Cemetery, 1564 U.S. HWY 271 S , Paris, Texas.
