This is the final itinerary for the Patriot Guard Riders Mission to Honor FELIX CLYDE ALSTON (91) UNITED STATES ARMY DECEMBER 13, 2017 WEDNESDAY Born: JANUARY 4, 1926 Died: DECEMBER 9, 2017 His family has requested that the PGR be present at his services. The Mission is a 'go' and all contacts have been made. Clyde was born in Leona, Tx to James and Kate Alston. He graduated from Madisonville High School and enlisted in the United States Army serving his country proudly in WWII, The Korean War and the Vietnam War. Mr Alston was decorated with the Master Aircraft Crewman Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Service Medal with 6 device, National Defense Service Medal with Oak Cluster. Upon his retirement as Master Sergeant from the Army, he worked for many years with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Clyde is survived by his wife Marie Lenora Alston; his daughters, Angela Robins, Virginia Wallin, Patricia Snook,Cecilia Baker and Pamela Wallace; sisters, Martha White, Laverne Foster and Nancy Hummel; 10 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Services: 10am, Wednesday, 13 December 2017, Day Funeral Home, 514 E. Main, Madisonville, Tx 77869. Internment will immediately follow Service at Mt. Tabor Cemetery, 1880 Tx-75, Madisonville, Tx 77869. Staging: Day Funeral Home, 8:15am - 8:45am with riders meeting at 8:45am. Directions to the cemetery will be given by the Ride Captain. This is the final itinerary for the Patriot Guard Riders Mission to Honor JOHN RICHARD HUNT (72) US AIR FORCE DECEMBER 13, 2017 WEDNESDAY Born: February 2, 1945 Died: December 10, 2017 His family has requested that the PGR be present at his services. The Mission is a 'go' and all contacts have been made. Mr. Hunt was born February 2, 1945 in Gilmer, TX to the late Elmo and Mauvalene Hunt. Mr. Hunt proudly served in the United States Air Force as a sharpshooter and tactical command officer, serving stateside and abroad during the Vietnam War. Upon returning to Gilmer after being honorably discharged, he met and married Linda Morse and they built a life together with their twin daughters Jamie and Jana. John was a multi talented man and enjoyed many careers in the radio broadcasting industry, local school system, steel industry, and at Lowes. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Gilmer. Services: 2:00pm Wednesday, December, 13, 2017, at Croley Funeral Home, 305 W. Harrison St. Gilmer 75644. We will escort the Hurst to Pleasent Hill Cemetary Staging: 12:15 pm to 12:45pm with a Riders meeting at 12:45 pm at Croley Funeral Home, Gilmer.
