This is the final itinerary for the Patriot Guard Riders Mission to Honor MALCOLM McMILLAN (93) U.S. NAVY WWII DECEMBER 22, 2017 FRIDAY SHORT NOTICE Born: OCTOBER 1, 1924 Died: DECEMBER 19, 2017 His family has requested that the PGR be present at his services. The Mission is a 'go' and all contacts have been made. Osee Malcolm McMillan Jr. Was born in Garrison, Tx to Osee Sr & Celeste McMillan. Malcolm graduated from Garrison High School in 1941 and then joined the Navy serving during WWII aboard a submarine as Junior Radioman Second Class. After the Navy MAC went to work for Southern Pacific Railroad as a Telegraph Operator. He married the love of his life Maxine on March 14, 1953 and were married for 58 wonderful years. He was a member and Deacon at University Baptist Church and an active member of the Gideon’s. Among other things in Mac’s life he especially loved being outdoors, from riding the fences to check his cows, trapping hogs or running a trot line. He just wanted to be outdoors and on the move. His favorite spot was always in a deer stand with his granddaughter Melody, or on a 4 wheeler with his grandson Morgan. He is survived by his daughter Micah; granddaughter Melody and grandson Morgan. Services: 11:00am, Friday, December 22,2017 at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home, 5400 North St., Nacogdoches,Tx 75965. Internment immediately following service at Sunset Memorial Park. Staging: Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home; 9:15am - 9:45am with riders meeting at 9:45am Directions to the cemetery will be given by the Ride Captain. Big flag bikes requested weather permitting. All new members are requested to sign a PGR Release of Liability prior to Flag Line. Please remain flexible as to the requirements of the mission (SEMPER GUMBY).
