THEDFORD (86) UNITED STATES ARMY - KOREAN WAR DECEMBER 29, 2017 FRIDAY SHORT NOTICE Born: 14 DECEMBER 1931 Died: 25 DECEMBER 2017 His family has requested that the PGR be present at his services. The Mission is a 'go' and all contacts have been made. Graveside Services for Delmer Thedford, 86, of Tyler are scheduled for 12:30 P.M., Friday, December 29, at Tyler Memorial Park with Reverend Barry Boatright officiating. He passed away on December 25, 2017 in Tyler. Delmer was born on December 14, 1931 in Smith County to the late Cleburn Thedford and Laura Lillian Shelton. He was a long time resident of Tyler. In fact, he married the love of his life, Ruthie Grant, on August 30, 1952 in Tyler. Delmer was proud to serve in the United States Army in the Korean War. Afterwards he worked as a truck driver for thirty-five years at Tyler Pipe Industries. Delmer was a church member at 1st Assembly of God, Tyler. He loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He was loved by many and will be missed. Services: 12:30 PM, DECEMBER 29, 2017, at (GRAVESIDE SERVICES ONLY) TYLER MEMORIAL PARK. 12053 TEXAS HIGHWAY 64, TYLER, TX 75704 Staging: TYLER MEMORIAL PARK from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM with a riders meeting at 11:45 AM.
