This is the final itinerary for the Patriot Guard Riders Mission to Honor DON LEROY UPTON (87) US NAVY KOREA VIETNAM JANUARY 9, 2018 TUESDAY Born: May 11, 1930 Died: Jan. 5, 2018 His family has requested that the PGR be present at his services. The Mission is a 'go' and all contacts have been made. Don Leroy Upton was commissioned an Ensign July 3, 1951. He was a Utility Pilot and Airplane Pilot during the Korean war and the Vietnam war. He earned the Air Medal (Gold Star), Navy Commendation Medal (Combat V), China Service Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Commendation and Korean Service Medal (3 Bronze Stars) among others. Unfortunately, we do not have an obituary at this time. Services: 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Rader Funeral Home, 800 Kilgore Dr., Henderson, Texas. Staging: At the funeral home from 12:00 to 12:40 PM with a riders meeting at12:45 PM. Directions to the cemetery will be given by the Ride Captain. Burial will be at Rusk Co. Memorial Cemetery.
