Mr. Smith graduated from San Augustine High School with the class of 2004. Alvin was an Iraq war Veteran having served our country 5 years in the United States Army. As a PFC he received the following accommodations for his service; Iraq Campaign Medal with Two Campaign Stars, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon.
